The tree nursery initiative isn’t merely about planting trees; it’s about fostering economic empowerment. By establishing a sustainable tree nursery, we’re creating a platform for income generation within our community. Through this venture, community members have the opportunity to cultivate, nurture, and sell trees, providing a steady source of income and fostering entrepreneurship.
Involvement of Local Primary Schools “Environmental clubs” to mitigate Climate Change
Since the beginning of the initiative in June 2022 to date, we have been Working hand in hand with our local primary schools, a mission that’s already seen over 500 trees take root in our community schools through environmental Clubs. These trees aren’t just symbols of growth; they’re the legacy of future generations of environmental consciousness and responsibility while increasing the carbon sinks that help fight climate change reducing and preventing emission of GHG. Together, we’ve created a tree nursery that not only provides economic opportunities but also strengthens our community’s resilience to environmental changes. Our vision extends further. We aim to expand this initiative, diversify our tree species, and further engage with our schools and empower more young women and girls in our community.
